Setup changes
Before the game, mix the white castles into the building (beige) pile and the black pile, and monastery 29 into the yellow pile. They then come out like any other tile.
Placing a white castle
A white castle is a building: it goes on a beige space, and only one per town
(One building per town).
When you place it, take one action at once using the number on the white die this round:
- Read the white die (rolled by this round’s starting player).
- You may spend workers to change that number — but do not turn the real white die; it stays as rolled for everyone.
- Take any die action with that number: take a tile from that depot, place a tile on that number, sell that goods type, or take 2 workers.
[Shields] A white castle is not a castle: no shield can go on it (FAQ).
Monastery 29
At the end of the game, monastery 29 scores 4 VP for each white castle in your
duchy — the same as tiles 16–23 do for the other buildings
(End-of-game scoring).
[Tiles] The crane may count as a white castle for this tile (The crane).
