Cards & Components

Every Woodcraft card, tile and token with a picture and what it does: boards, action tiles, workshop tiles, tokens, helpers, orders, public contracts, reputation tiles, solo cards, saw bonuses and promos.

Components are pictured from Delicious Games’ rulebook and help sheet. The helper, order, contract and solo card faces come from the Woodcraft Tabletop Simulator module; their printed IDs and counts match the January 2023 English rulebook. Effects are in our own words. The Game icons are used throughout.

Saw bonuses

The saw rotates after an action tile enters a new quadrant; take the bonus from the window as shown after it turns. A window gives everything it shows, including when it shows two bonuses. A gained Lantern can be used for a different action, and can count toward a three-Lantern bonus action (timing, all symbols, lantern use, bonus action).

Helper cards

27 early-game and 22 late-game helpers. Each shows its a cost in blueberries cost (top left), its production from your helpers production (top, beside the gear) and an ability down its left edge — immediate ability immediate, once-per-turn ability once per turn or permanent ability permanent (abilities). Once-per-turn abilities are optional and distinct abilities may each be used in one turn. Permanent abilities remain active and also affect bonus actions bought with Lanterns (FAQ, multiple abilities, bonus actions, production).

Late-game helper backLate game: from the second income phase to the end FAQ FAQ

Helper faces

Each face shows its hire cost, production and ability. Early helpers are HI; late helpers are HII (abilities). An immediate workshop upgrade does not move an action tile, and production from placing a helper can pay for the upgrade it grants. The 4- and 6-production workshops may activate several helpers, but each helper produces only once (FAQ, payment, production limit). Once-per-turn abilities are optional and distinct abilities may each be used in one turn. Permanent abilities remain active and also affect bonus actions bought with Lanterns (FAQ, multiple abilities, bonus actions, production).

Order cards

Each face shows its starting row, exact dice and tokens needed, and rewards. Complete an order as a free action whenever you can pay; you may finish several in a turn, but take each order’s rewards together. At each income phase, unfinished orders slide down a row; below the last row they are discarded. A hazelnut order can also let you claim a public contract (orders, multiple orders, all rewards at once, end of game, hazelnut orders). These pictures show every base-game order: 32 early, 32 late and 8 hazelnut orders. Tool rewards are named by the picture on the card (hammer, wooden mallet, wrench, saw, hacksaw, square, chisel, plane, scraper, axe); only the mallet and the wrench are named in the rulebook. “Production from 1 helper” is the gear with a 1. The rulebook’s late-deck timing is round 7 in a 14-round game or round 6 in a 13-round game (FAQ).

The arc tile covers the starting quadrant’s bonuses until that quadrant is empty. Start with the action tiles in the top-right quadrant. If the next quadrant’s final space is taken, place the tile in the next available space; blocking can be paid with a Lantern, and you may still take the 3 blueberries instead of the blocked action (arc timing, setup, placement, blocking, blocked choice).
