Expansion: Tasting Room Pack
The Vinhos Deluxe Tasting Room Pack: wooden Tourists who visit your Cellars, the hire tile that adds them to the Quadrel, and the wooden Wineries, Porto bottles and feature bottles.
Short tag: [Tasting]
Wooden pieces for both the 2010 Reserve and the Special Vintage 2016. Most of them only replace cardboard; the Tourists change the rules.
What it adds
| Component | What it is |
|---|---|
![]() | Tourists — visitors who add value to the wine in a Cellar |
![]() | Hire tile — covers the Enologists space of the Quadrel when Tourists are used |
![]() | Wooden Wineries — replace or sit on the Winery tiles |
![]() | Porto bottles and rack — replace the Porto tiles |
![]() | Feature bottles — replace the feature markers (2010 Reserve only) |
Setup changes
- Tourists — use as many as there are Cellars in play (Madeira included); make a Tourist pool next to the Enologists and Farmers. Cover the Enologists space of the Quadrel with the hire tile, the side matching your version up (2016: Enologists, Farmers and Tourists; 2010: Enologists and Tourists).
- Wooden Wineries — keep them by the board; when you build a Winery put the wooden one in the slot instead of the tile (or together with it), so everyone sees at a glance who has how many.
- Porto bottles — stick the labels on, put the 6 bottles in the rack; when you open a Douro Estate take two bottles instead of two tiles.
- Feature bottles — 2010 Reserve only: label them and put them on the Fair columns instead of the feature markers.
Tourists
- Take the hire action (the Enologists space) to bring Tourists to your Estates, at 2 Bagos each. The pack does not say whether Tourists count toward the action’s 1 or 2 hires — agree before playing.
- A Tourist may stand anywhere in your Estates, even an empty one, but it only matters in a Cellar: each Cellar holds one Tourist, who adds +1 Wine Value to every wine taken from that Cellar.
- Tourists move into Cellars when they arrive and, like Enologists and Farmers, at the start of each Production.
- [Connoisseur] They may not visit a double-sized Cellar (Connoisseur).
Scoring changes
None: Tourists only add Wine Value. The wooden pieces and bottles change nothing.
