Regions and Vineyard tiles

36 Vineyard tiles, 4 per region (2 red, 2 white). All four tiles of a region cost the same, printed on the price side; the other side shows the region bonus. A bonus applies whenever a new Estate opens in that region, not when you add another Vineyard to an existing Estate. The setup wine values below are not changed by the year’s Vintage. Pictured: the red tile’s two sides; white tiles have the yellow wine corner. Rules: Vineyards, Region bonuses.

Magnate Action tiles

18 green tiles, one action each, flipped face down when used (Magnate Action tiles). The top-corner mark sets the player count; one tile gives an extra action before you move or before/after your main action, never during it. A “2” on an action space lets you take two items instead of one. FAQ, FAQ, FAQ, FAQ, FAQ. 9 tiles are used in every game, 5 more with 3 or 4 players and 4 more with 4 players.

Magnate Multiplier tiles

22 purple tiles that score at the end with a barrel on them (Multiplier tiles). Taking one requires a free barrel; it scores nothing if you retrieve that barrel before final scoring. In a 2-player game, use the 10 filigreed tiles plus the export and money tiles. FAQ, FAQ, FAQ. Ten pairs and two unique tiles. The tile of each pair with the filigree and the higher value is used in every game; its plain, lower twin is added with 3 or more players. The number in the corner badge is the tile’s maximum.

Wine Expert abilities

24 base Experts in four decks by feature — Taste (red), Aroma (green), Appearance (blue) and Alcohol Content (yellow). Each deck has the six abilities once; some tiles also show the small feature symbol with an arrow, worth +1 Fair Point. In Special Vintage 2016, use at most one Expert ability per turn, before or after (not during) your main action; you may also use one Magnate Action tile. An Expert bought that turn can be used immediately. These Experts do not change Wine Value for Bruno’s test. FAQ, FAQ. Rules: Wine Expert abilities, at the Fair.

Vintage and Wine tiles

9 Vintage tiles: the eight below, plus the “0” tile used only in the 2010 Reserve (not pictured). Special Vintage 2016 uses six tiles, one per year; the “0” tile stays in the box. Each shows the year’s weather (+2 to −2 Quality), what the three Magnates want, and the wine features with their counts for the Fair. Weather changes the Quality of wines produced that year; each Magnate checks its own colour, Value threshold or region list, while the feature counts set the matching Expert points at a Fair.
