Expansion: Islands Pack
The Vinhos Deluxe Islands Pack: Madeira and the Açores as two new wine regions, with Tourists, a three-slot Warehouse and a free export.
Short tag: [Islands]
Two island regions for both the 2010 Reserve and the Special Vintage 2016, each on its own small board. Apart from setup and the islands’ own rules, nothing changes.
What it adds
| Board | What it is |
|---|---|
![]() | Madeira — expensive Vineyards that bring a Tourist and a Bago every year |
![]() | Açores — Vineyards of either colour with a three-slot Warehouse and a free export |
Setup changes
- The islands replace mainland regions: keep the usual number of regions for the player count (7 / 8 / 9) and leave out mainland regions to make room.
- Give each island the number of one of the left-out regions, for Carolina’s wishes: put a Wine tile with that number on the island board as a reminder.
Madeira
- A Madeira Vineyard costs 6 Bagos.
- When you buy one, move a Tourist to any of your Cellars (in any Estate). With no Cellar yet, it waits in your Madeira Estate’s Warehouse and moves to a Cellar during a Production.
- A Tourist in a Cellar adds +1 Wine Value to every wine taken from that Cellar. Tourists move between Cellars only during Production.
- Every Production, each of your Madeira Estates pays you 1 Bago — Tourist or not.
Acores
- An Açores Vineyard costs 4 Bagos. Take the 3-space Warehouse and the barrel of your colour: lay the Warehouse over your Estate’s Warehouse and put the barrel above its third space.
- At each Production you choose whether the Estate makes red or white wine — so it may hold three Vineyards and no Winery.
- When a wine ages into the space under the barrel, you may at once export it with that ninth barrel to an Export slot its Value reaches (Açores Renown cubes may help). This free export happens only once.
- You cannot build a Cellar in the Açores.
Scoring changes
None of their own. An Açores Estate full of Vineyards counts as an Estate with all 3 slots filled. The islands are not used in the solo game: Lacerda has no rules for them.
