Teach the Game
Snow Planner: teach the game.
How you win
“We run competing hotels beside a snowy mountain. Across eight rounds, train workers, welcome guests and improve the hotel. Earn the most points from the guests, cards, projects and goals.”
The dice are workers; do not roll them. Their faces show training, not luck. Build a hotel whose Windows support the guests you want to keep, then use their payments and your Window bonuses to fund stronger actions.
The boards

- Slope and action spaces — place dice, taking the leftmost open space.
- Guest deck — supplies the Station.
- Station — six Guests waiting to check in.
- Projects — turn resources into points and personal action spaces.
- VIPs — window patterns unlock high-value guests.
- Goals — only three become active across the whole table.
- Summit — rewards and next round’s turn order.
- Part-Time Die — one shared extra worker.
Your Hotel has three Guest Rooms, a 3×3 Window grid, a Promotion Track and a Worker Room. Your Talent’s left ability works immediately; its right ability needs its shown Window layout. Colors do not matter for that layout.
A round
- Announcement: reveal the Round card. In round 5, reveal the Summit tiles.
- Main: take turns placing one die and resolving its action. Skip players with no dice left.
- Resolution: resolve the Round card revealed earlier.
- Payment: receive each occupied room’s payment once. A completely empty hotel loses 3 points, down to a minimum of zero.
- Bonus: collect each color’s Window bonus.
- Check-out: meet stay conditions and advance Guests, or move them to Check-out.
- Cleaning: check the end, refresh the Station, change turn order from the Summit and reclaim dice without changing their faces.
Read the full round sequence. A third worker unlocked at 8 points can act next round, not immediately.
How the game ends
Finish Cleaning in the 8th round. Add end-game Event effects, score active Goals for everyone, and gain 3 points for a full Window grid. Leftover resources have no automatic value. See scoring and ties.
[Season] New Season adds House/Score Track and Public Works scoring, with a 5-point full-grid bonus. [Co-op] New Challenge ends after six rounds and requires a shared victory.
Ways to score
| Source | When it matters |

| Green Windows | Bonus Phase, using the hotel table. |
| Cards, board spaces and Promotion rewards | When the pictured benefit triggers. |
| Projects | When acquired; base Projects also create personal scoring actions. |
| Part-Time Die training | At its printed training thresholds. |
| Goals | Immediate reward for playing one; ranking points for all players at the end. |
| End-game Events | End of round 8. |
| Full hotel Window grid | 3 points at the end of the base game. |
| Penalties | Empty hotel, VIP check-out and unpaid Round-card costs. |
What each resource is for
| Resource or piece | Get it, then use it |
|---|---|
| Snow action and rewards; offset placement costs or pay cards. Each Snow offsets 2. | |
| Restaurant and rewards; pay 3 for an orange Window as a free action, or pay card costs. | |
| Ticket action and rewards; permanently train dice or offset placement costs by 1 per Ticket. | |
| Advance Promotion for rewards on reached or crossed spaces. | |
| Repeated Snow income and guest stay requirements. | |
| Repeated Ticket income and guest stay requirements. | |
| Repeated points and guest stay requirements. | |
| Place them for actions; keep their trained values between rounds. | |
| Put them into empty rooms at Day 1; collect income and retain them by meeting conditions. |
Teaching tips
- Before the first placement, show a strength-4 die on a −2 space: it acts at 2. A Snow offsets the penalty, restoring 4; it cannot make that die act at 6.
- Show the difference between a Window color count for staying and a Window layout for a VIP, Goal or Talent.
- Read the Round card before choosing actions, but resolve it only after the Main Phase.
- Host game: ask each player to point to a Guest they can retain, then identify the action that funds that stay. Rehearse Payment → Bonus → Check-out without advancing cards early.
