Solo

Snow Planner: solo.

Base-game solo

Use the 1–2-player board side and normal two-player main-area setup. Prepare your Hotel and an Automa Hotel with two dice each, at 1 and 3; set aside both third workers at 1. The Automa does not use scoring/Promotion cubes, a Talent or normal Event hand.

Give yourself Opening Guest 2 and the Automa Opening Guest 1. The Automa starts. Prepare its seven Solo Action cards and eight Solo Event cards as separate face-down decks.

On its Main turn, reveal a Solo Action. Place its worker as directed, then resolve the Low Season lower effect in rounds 1–4 or the High Season effect in rounds 5–8. Its die faces do not determine action strength. It blocks your spaces and may acquire Windows, Guests, VIPs, Goals and Projects; it does not collect normal resources or score points.

When you reach 8 points, both you and the Automa unlock a third die for next round. During Cleaning, reshuffle used Solo Action cards into their deck. Solo Events are not automatically reshuffled.

Automa Windows and comparisons

For a Window, first copy an occupied position from your Hotel according to the Solo Action back’s priorities; otherwise follow its central-space-and-arrow placement order.

For comparisons use the printed Solo reference with the publisher correction: 4 Likes per green Window, not 1. Its played-Event and paid-Event comparison is the number of face-up Solo Events; its total worker value is 12. Do not give it a normal resource inventory.

For the New Season Versatile Goal, compare your hand with its unplayed Solo Event deck at game end.

Scoring

Play all eight rounds and score yourself normally.

ScoreTitle
0–50Intern
51–70Chief
71–99Manager
100+President

[Season] With New Season, add 10 to each title threshold. After Cleaning in round 4, place an Automa cube in the highest available rank of every Public Works Milestone.

Two humans with an Automa

The base game also permits adding the Automa to a two-human game. Deal the three Opening Guests among all participants and establish order from their numbers. Use its Solo decks and blocking rules.

New Challenge solo

[Co-op] Use two Hotels and the two-player cooperative setup; control both yourself. There is no Automa. Meet every co-op victory requirement and use the average Hotel score. Add a third or fourth Hotel for a harder management challenge. Cooperative rules.
