Guests and Windows
Snow Planner: guests and windows.
Station
The Station is the six-card Guest row; older cards may call it the Guest House. When you gain a Guest, put it at Day 1 in a free room. You cannot normally gain one with all three rooms occupied.
After a player’s Guest-taking action is complete, slide remaining cards toward position 1 and refill to six from the deck. If the action gains two Guests, choose both before refilling. This also applies to Events that take Guests. If the deck cannot refill, leave remaining spaces empty.
Payment
Normal Guests have different Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 rewards. Read the row aligned with the room’s arrow. Each room pays once during Payment. A newly acquired Guest may pay when you subsequently resolve that room.
Consecutive stays
After Payment and Window Bonus, check each Guest’s stay requirement for its current Day. Meet the shown Window color counts to move it forward one Day. A normal Guest at Day 3 checks out instead of moving to Day 4. If requirements fail, move it face down to the Check-out area.
You can choose to check out a Guest during Check-out even when its conditions are met. Checked-out cards can still count toward end-game Goals.
VIPs
VIP acquisition patterns check Window positions, not colors. Once acquired, a VIP’s payment is the same at every Day. Its stay requirements can include both Window counts and resource payments.
Move a retained VIP forward up to Day 3. Unlike ordinary Guests, a VIP may stay at Day 3 indefinitely while you meet its conditions. If it checks out, voluntarily or otherwise, lose the penalty printed on that VIP. Scores stop at zero.
Window patterns
A gained Window fills any empty space in the 3×3 Hotel grid. Take the placement bonus printed on the covered space. Use color counts for income and most stay conditions; use occupied positions for Talent unlocks, VIP acquisition and Goal activation.
Once a VIP or Goal is acquired/played, its acquisition layout is not rechecked. A Talent’s right ability is different: if later Window movement breaks the pattern, the ability becomes unavailable until you restore it.
A bingo is three same-color Windows in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. A Window can belong to more than one qualifying line.
[Season] Windows on acquired New Season Projects count toward the expansion’s Bonus and Check-out calculations, while its new House icons add end-game scoring. New Season.
