Can Snow and Tickets make a die act above its face? Official
No. They offset placement penalties only. Permanently increase the face by training an unplaced die with Tickets.

When can I use free actions? Official
During any phase on your own turn, including between Payment and Bonus. In New Challenge you can also act during other players’ turns.

What if the Part-Time Die has already been hired? Official
The Part-Time action still draws an Event, but cannot take the die from its current owner.

When is the Station refilled? Official
After the player finishes an action taking Guests, slide the remaining cards toward position 1 and fill the gaps. Choose both cards before refilling a two-Guest action. This also applies when an Event takes Guests.

Can I force a VIP to check out? Official
Yes, during Check-out. Its normal printed point penalty applies even if you voluntarily send it away.

Does a VIP pay and require upkeep every round? Official
Yes. It gives its reward every Payment Phase, and each Check-out Phase requires its stay conditions and any printed resource payments. Window income from the Bonus Phase can pay that upkeep.

Does Guest Area value 6 pay the VIP area variable cost? Official
No. The variable −X cost applies only when placing in the VIP Area. With an effective 6 in Guest Area, choose eligible VIPs without paying −X; their Window acquisition pattern still applies.

Do VIP Window patterns need to be met before acquiring them? Official
Yes. The required occupied Window positions must be present before gaining the VIP.
Source: Publisher ruling
Do public Goals go into my hand? Official
Normally no. Meet the Window layout and use a play-card effect, gain the immediate points and place the Goal face up by your Hotel. Only Prudence specifically adds Goals to hand. Activated Goals score rankings across all players.

Does Hardworker give one Croissant per Day 2 or Day 3 Guest? Official
No. Its left ability checks whether such a Guest exists and gives one Croissant total. Its right ability triggers per separate gain, not once per token.
Source: Publisher ruling
Do Talent triggered bonuses happen once per token gained? Official
No. A six-Croissant action is one gain. Three separate Guests each giving a Croissant are three separate gains.

What if Window movement breaks an acquisition or Talent pattern? Official
A VIP or Goal checks its pattern only when gained/played. A Talent’s right ability is unavailable while its required pattern is no longer present.

Can Following Suit copy ongoing or end-game effects? Official
No. It is a one-time effect. It may copy a Goal’s immediate effect, ignoring its conditions, but cannot copy permanent or end-game effects.
Source: Publisher ruling
Can I play an Event when I cannot receive its benefit? Official
Yes, provided its mandatory cost and condition are satisfied. You may decline benefits. The publisher specifically permits Overtime Work and Footrest even if you have no die available to place.
Source: Publisher ruling
What do Overtime Work and Footrest place? Official
One die still in your Worker Room immediately. They do not retrieve or replace a die already on the board.

Do only the High Season leaders pay? Official
No. Everyone pays their own indicated bracket. The leader, including every tied leader, additionally pays the resource indicated by the first-place icon.
Source: Publisher ruling
What is the corrected High Season shortfall penalty? Official
Lose 2 points per required resource you cannot pay. Pay available resources first; points cannot fall below zero.

[Season] Can the Apprentice Die be permanently trained? Official
Yes. Tickets can increase the Apprentice Die as they do a regular worker. Its special placement penalty still applies.
Source: Publisher ruling
[Season] Can Snowman exceed the printed die face? Official
No. Its +1 primarily offsets a negative placement modifier, and the effective value cannot exceed the actual face.

[Season] How does Versatile compare the solo Automa hand? Official
Use the number of unplayed cards remaining in the Solo Event deck at game end, and compare it with your hand.

[Co-op] Who keeps a used Dog Sled? Official
Under the standard rule the giver keeps it, turned sideways/unavailable until the next Announcement. The optional harder variant passes the Sled to the receiving player with the resource.

[Promo] How does Cabin Construction choose its reward? Official
Return one Check-out card for 2 Snow; two for Station position 1’s Day 1 reward twice; or three for a blue Window and 3 Likes. This is one outcome based on how many you returned. Opening Guests, VIPs, Freeloaders and Inspectors are eligible.

[Promo] May all promo Events be mixed into the game? Official
Yes. The publisher recommends omitting Snow Festival for a first game. Its effect also applies to a hired Part-Time Die; if it lowers a face and you later train it again, the usual training points can be earned again.
