Game End and Scoring
How Mombasa ends after round 7 and the seven scoring categories: cash, the four companies' shares, the diamond track and the bookkeeping track.
End of the game
The game ends after the general action phase of round 7 — there is no Preparation phase after it.
Final scoring
- Everyone takes all their resting decks back into their hand.
- Lay out every card showing an extra company share (bottom left), sorted by company — including the share cards.
- Score the seven categories on the score pad:
| Category | Score |
|---|---|
| Cash | The pounds you hold |
| Mombasa | Uncovered coin icons in the Mombasa base × your Mombasa shares |
| Cape Town | The same for Cape Town |
| Saint-Louis | The same for Saint-Louis |
| Cairo | The same for Cairo |
| Diamond track | The last value your diamond marker has passed |
| Bookkeeping track | The last value your ink jar has passed |
Your shares of a company = the last share icon your marker reached or passed on its track + the extra shares on your cards (shares).
Diamond and bookkeeping tracks
A marker that has not passed any value scores nothing. Books themselves are worth nothing at the end, whether your ink jar reached them or not. [Cooked] With the promo, each Cooked Books book your ink jar has reached or passed adds its 5 or 10 to the bookkeeping category (Cooked Books).
Winning and ties
The player with the most money wins. A tie is a shared victory.
