Cards & Components
Every Forestry component face: river, clearing and game round tokens, sawmill building tiles on both sides, HQ tiles, harvest, forester and wood tokens, cards, boards and the advanced and solo pieces.
Every distinct face, with what it does and where the rules explain it. Pictures are from the rulebook. Card decks (40 contracts, 4 starting contracts, 49 task cards, 15 spawn cards, 18 + 3 forester cards) are shown by type: their effects are listed on the Contracts and Solo pages.
Boards
Player pieces and boards
| Picture | Component and rules |
|---|---|
![]() | The game board: forest area and sawmill ring, score track — Harvester Actions. Double spaces count as one space and hold one harvester; your move may end where it began. FAQ FAQ |
![]() | 4 player boards: side A standard, side B a character — The player board. Your action-point supply resets to the value on your development track each turn. FAQ FAQ |
![]() | Per colour: sawmill manager, 9 cubes, action, star and scoring tokens, 6 building tokens, harvester, 3 storage extension tiles — The player board. You may return to your starting space when moving the harvester. The Logistics Manager does not get a storage bonus for its starting wood. FAQ FAQ |
![]() | 4 technology tiles, sides A and B — Technology tiles. Technology A grants one star per move action, not per space moved. FAQ |
![]() | 2 reference tiles: action costs, free actions, scoring — Free actions |
![]() | First player token — A round |
Cards
| Picture | Component and rules |
|---|---|
![]() | 40 contract cards, simple and double, each with one or two category symbols — Fulfilling a contract. There is no hand limit. A contract taken from the display is replaced immediately; a contract building can take only from its own area. FAQ FAQ FAQ FAQ |
![]() | 4 starting contracts (S): two categories and an HQ colour — Contract categories |
![]() | 49 task cards: a free action on top, an end-game goal below — Task cards. Take from the top or face-up slot and refill immediately; the question-mark round bonus is deck-only. Each bottom goal needs its own item, so one contract cannot satisfy two matching task cards; a river token’s icon only names what it scores. Fulfilled cards score 1/3/5/8, then +3 for each more, while unfulfilled cards count as unused resources. FAQ FAQ FAQ FAQ FAQ |

HQ tiles
9 tiles, 3 per player count, double-sided (Moving the sawmill manager).
| Picture | What it is |
|---|---|
![]() | One set of three per player count (2, 3, 4). Rewards depend on how many managers stand there; 2-player tiles have one reward, 3–4-player tiles two. Choose based on the number of managers after you arrive; where a tile has two rewards, a lone manager may take either, while the second manager takes the second. FAQ |
| First rewards: pay 1 coin for a wood adjustment, a task card or any resource. The other rewards of each side — check against the physical tiles |
Tokens & pieces
River tokens
8 tokens on the rivers. Building a water structure there wins the token; at the end it scores its symbol × your multiplier (Water structures). The symbol identifies the matching items; the token itself does not count as one (FAQ).

Game round tokens
10 tokens, one revealed at the start of each round; round 1 does not reveal a second token on the first player turn (Game round tokens; FAQ). Green tokens flip the next matching colourful harvest token in the printed order, even if a harvester occupies it.
Rulings that apply to every row below: Does a green game round token flip a harvest token that has a harvester on it?.

![]() | 45 forester tokens, 15 each: |
![]() | 8 water structure tokens: 4 meanders, 4 reservoirs with bridge — Water structures. Each distinct meander crossed in one move gives 1 seedling, even if crossed more than once; each crossing still costs 1 coin. FAQ FAQ |
![]() | 15 spawn cards: numbered 1–15 for placing tokens; the backs show the forester token order — Replenishing forester tokens. When step 14 begins, shuffle the spawn cards, then place three forester tokens total, one of each type, using the order on the backs. If its target is occupied, scan forward from the indicated space and wrap after 15 to the first open space; during earlier setup draws, keep revealing until the number fits the player count. ![]() | 3 advanced forester cards (yellow corners) — Reading a forester card. First-print icon fixes: a grey area on S1 and S7–S12 means dark green; the crate on S13 and S17 means construction material. FAQ |
