Back
Depth 1 backDepth 1. Surface zone.
Depth 2 backDepth 2. Epipelagic zone.
Depth 3 backDepth 3. Mesopelagic zone.

Ocean zones

Each Ocean board in play is a zone (Zones). The cogs next to the name show its depth. The faint row top left is the Discovery bonus; the Travel box holds the Arrival bonus (Arrival bonus). Circles with a number are Conservation sites showing their Research cost (Conserve); yellow lines, warning triangles and rings are the three kinds of special feature (Special zone features); completed links pay both ends (Completing links).
