Game End and Scoring

When Baghdad ends and how to fill in the scorepad: Scoring tiles and their multipliers, the Palace, level 5 Buildings, Night Characters, Artefacts, Favour and Shame.

Ending the game

When no Character cards are left in the Wisdom area, the end is near: keep taking turns until every player has played all the cards in their hand. The player who plays the last card finishes their turn, then go to end game scoring.

The three cards still on your board at the end never slide off: their Starting and Day rewards are lost, but Night Characters there still score if you meet their goal.

End game scoring

One player fills in the scorepad for everyone while the others call out their numbers.

Scoring tiles

  2. Points. For each tile where your multiplier is at least 1, multiply it by how many of that thing you have.

Palace pieces and level 5 Buildings

  1. Your level 5 Building: 3 points per item it counts.
  2. The Palace Base, 15 points, and the Dome, 12 points, to whoever built them: their Architect stands beside them.

Night Characters

  1. Score the points on every Night Character face down in your discard pile, and on every Night Character on your board whose goal you meet.

Artefacts

  1. Score the points printed on the spots of your face-up Artefacts. Face-down duplicates score nothing.

Favour and Shame

  1. Score or lose the points for your Favour marker’s position (Favour track).
  2. Lose 3 points per Shame token Shame token.

[Public Works] Add the points beside your Houses on the Public Houses board, and lose 5 per empty spot in your Civic board column (Public Works). [Objectives] Add 5 points per Objective card in your discard pile and per visible card where you hold the 5-point space (Objectives).

  1. Add it all up: most points wins.

Tie-breaks

  1. The most points from fulfilled Night Characters.
  2. The highest Favour.
  3. Still tied: share the victory.
