Short tag: [Objectives]. Add it alone or with the other modules.
Components
| Component | What it is for |
|---|---|
![]() | Golden Gate — at the north of the City |
![]() | 5 Objective cards — one each for Books, Patients, Students, Artefact types and Buildings |
| 16 Player markers | 4 per player, cubes in your colour |
All five cards are on Cards & Components.
Setup
- Put the Golden Gate north of the City.
- Shuffle the 5 Objective cards into a face-up stack above the gate, and slide the top card to the right, so two show.
- Each player takes their 4 Player markers.
Gameplay
When your Vizier moves from the north-west to the north-east quadrant, past the Golden Gate (with Step tokens too), put a Player marker on a free space of one of the two visible Objective cards, then gain the effect shown. This happens after the card that slid off your board this turn has resolved, before your Vizier’s action. You must place a marker.
The 0 space is always free. A numbered space is free if no one has a marker there and you have at least that many of the card’s item:
| Card | Count |
|---|---|
| Books | |
| Patients | |
| Students | |
| Artefacts | Different types of |
| Buildings | Buildings you have built |
When a card holds as many markers as there are players, discard it and give the markers back. Whoever has a marker on its 5 space keeps the card face down in their Character discard pile; otherwise it goes back to the box. If it was the right-hand card, slide the next card from the stack to the right.
At the end, score 5 points for each Objective card in your discard pile and for each visible card where you hold the 5 space.
