Nightfall
Poison and Decoy Coins, with four new units: Assassin, Saboteur, Infiltrator and Skirmisher.
Nightfall (2023) adds Poison Counters, Decoy Coins and 4 new units. Setup changes are in Setup under “Play with Nightfall”.
Components
- 18 unit coins and 4 unit cards
- 2 Poison Counters and 2 Decoy Coins

Poison
The Assassin and the Saboteur poison enemy units. Their Poison Counter starts on their card.
- To poison, put the counter on the enemy unit. If it is already on another unit, move it: that unit is no longer poisoned.
- A poisoned unit’s owner can’t discard its coins face up to maneuver it, nor play its coins to bolster it. Other units and decrees can still give it a maneuver or a bolster, and its own attributes and restrictions still work.
- Unpoison: discard one of its coins face up. The counter goes back to the card it came from. This is not a maneuver.
- When a poisoned unit is destroyed, the counter goes back to its card.
Decoy Coins
The Infiltrator and the Skirmisher deceive: put their Decoy Coin face up in an opponent’s discard pile. If it is already with an opponent, nothing happens. Decoys can’t be recruited.
- The opponent clears it by playing it face up from hand as an action; it goes back beside its card.
- They may also spend it on a face-down action (initiative, recruit, pass), but never to place, maneuver, unpoison or proclaim.
New units
These cards are pictured in their Spanish printing; the rules below are the English text.
Assassin
4 coins. Tactic: move, then poison an adjacent unit. Attribute: after the Assassin attacks a poisoned unit, you may remove one coin of that unit’s supply from the game.
Saboteur
5 coins. Tactic: poison a unit one or two spaces away; the space between may hold a unit. Attribute: it may use its tactic straight after it is recruited.
Infiltrator
5 coins. Tactic: move onto a location your opponent controls and control it. Attribute: it may deceive its opponent right after it controls a location.
Skirmisher
4 coins. Tactic: move one or two spaces to a space next to an enemy unit. Attribute: when it is attacked, you may deceive your opponent; if you do, the attack removes no coin.
