Telly Time
The Networks: Megacorp — Telly Time, the UK-themed game mode: setup, the personal genre grid, weekend and wild timeslots, the Kids, Quiz and Chat genres, scoring and clarifications.
Short tag: [Telly]. A British alternate game mode: your lineup grows to 4 timeslots, three new genres arrive with their own effects, and the genre tracks give way to a personal genre grid you fill like noughts and crosses (Megacorp rulebook pp. 17–20).

Telly Time setup
Set up normally, with these changes:
- Leave the base genre board and base show cards in the box (FAQ).
- Cover the setup board’s pass track with the pass track tile for your player count.
- Build the show deck from the Telly Time shows only, A on top of B. With 1–3 players, remove every A show marked 4+.
- Each player takes the 3 extra cubes of their colour (14 in all).
Telly Time Pilot Season
Replaces the normal Pilot Season:
- Shuffle the 6 Telly Time Pilot Season shows and deal 1 to each player. Take the genre grid tile with that show’s genre in its centre square.
- Put the grid tile above your player board as a fourth timeslot. Your Pilot Season show goes in its preferred timeslot; your starter shows fill the other three.
- Instead of advancing a genre track for that show, put a cube on your grid’s centre square.
- Remove the 6 show cards from the base Pilot Season deck, shuffle the 14 stars and ads left and deal 3 to each player (2 with 5 players). Keep 2, paying costs and taking bonuses as usual.

Your genre grid
The first time you would advance on a genre, put a cube on that genre’s square of your grid instead. Each time you complete a line of 3 — row, column or diagonal — take the bonus at the end of that line at once; complete two lines together and you take both. A genre already filled can still be produced, but fills nothing new.
Empty and filled squares
Every round your grid pays out, whichever pass bonus you chose:
Cash: when you pass, $1M per empty square.
Viewers: when your lineup scores, +1 per filled square.
Weekend timeslots
Your new
weekend timeslot works like the other three; some Telly Time shows prefer it.
Wild timeslots
A show with two timeslot icons may go in either without penalty. A show marked ANY goes anywhere without penalty and ignores timeslot penalties from other effects.
Mogul bonus
[Moguls] With Moguls, the second line you complete gives a mogul bonus instead of its printed bonus: draw 2 moguls, keep 1. If your first two lines come together, choose which counts first. Without Moguls, ignore the mogul icon on the tile.
New genres
| Genre | Effect on every show of that genre |
|---|---|
| Never in your primetime or late-night slot (not even with network cards) | |
| When it scores, you may pay $1M per bonus viewer, up to 5 | |
| When it scores, it gains the current viewers of every star on your other shows |
End-game scoring
Ignore the Genres row; score everything else normally.
Telly Time clarifications
| Card | In Telly Time |
|---|---|
| Big Game | Grid cash is not ad income |
| Catalog Buyout | May fill any empty square, Kids, Quiz and Chat included |
| Flexible Schedule | Cannot put Kids shows in primetime or late night |
| Market Research | Fill the genre of the show you discard; if all 3 drawn genres are filled, discard without filling |
| Preempted Timeslot | Doubles only the pass-track bonus, not grid cash |
| Variety Channel | Instead: 2 viewers per genre on at least 2 shows in your lineup and/or reruns (Kids, Quiz, Chat count) |
| Versatile Actor | May turn a show into Kids, Quiz or Chat, without that genre’s effect |
| Writeoff | Chat shows count bonus viewers from other stars; Quiz shows count none |

Telly Time solo
A solo card that prefers a show of “your best genre” takes the leftmost show that would let you complete a line on your grid, or else the leftmost show.
