Moguls
The Networks: Megacorp — the Moguls module: setup, recruiting a mogul from the genre tracks, how mogul effects work, scoring and the rulebook’s clarifications for each mogul.
Short tag: [Moguls]. Moguls are industry bigwigs with big advantages and scoring bonuses. Each player may gain only one mogul per game — the earlier, the more it pays off (Megacorp rulebook pp. 2–4).

Moguls setup
After normal setup:
- Turn the scoreboard to its “Network, Moguls, & Execs” side.
- Shuffle the mogul deck and place it with the other decks.
- Put 1 mogul token on space 3 of every genre track (it covers the
network bonus).
Acquiring a mogul
When you land on a mogul token and have not yet taken a mogul this game, remove the token and take the
mogul bonus instead of the network bonus under it: draw 3 mogul cards, keep 1 in your green room and
put the other 2 on the bottom of the deck. If it has an
Immediate effect, resolve it
now — but keep the card.
If you already have a mogul, leave the token where it is and take the network bonus under it. Once a track’s token is gone, anyone reaching space 3 there gets the uncovered network bonus.
Using moguls
Mogul effects follow the network-card rules, except:
- After an Immediate mogul effect, keep the card in your green room (unless it says otherwise); its other effects stay usable while it is face up.
- After a Use once effect, turn the mogul face down. It no longer works, but it still uses up your one mogul.
Scoring moguls
End of round — an Ongoing mogul that grants viewers each round adds them to
your round score, along with any pass-track viewers.
Game end — a Game End mogul adds its viewers to the “Network, Moguls, & Execs”
bonus.

Mogul clarifications
The ten moguls are pictured on Cards and Components. The rulebook only prints the full text of Tech Pioneer and Penny Pincher; for the others, read the card. Its clarifications:
| Mogul | Clarification |
|---|---|
| Blockbuster Director | When the show scores again, include every end-of-round bonus and penalty of the show and its stars; it then ages normally. You may not re-score Surpriser after using its effect. Writeoff and Surpriser count the bonus viewers |
| Celebrity Whisperer | Writeoff, Surpriser and Blockbuster Director count its bonus viewers |
| Director Everyone Wants to Work With | You may ignore any condition or effect that would attach a star upside down; Industry Veteran and Versatile Actor must be rotated by choice to use their effects |
| Host Turned Tycoon | Keep it face up when you take it and you may not flip it later for cash; cash spent on its bottom effect does not count as leftover cash (Corporate Takeover included) |
| Page to Screen | Use its bottom effect at any time on your turn, like a Use once network card; fill the produced show’s required slots. With Exclusive Rights holding several shows, produce any one of them |
| Penny Pincher | Count every show’s expenses, including extra expenses from effects such as Cheapo’s drawback |
| Reboot-o-mancer | Shows go back to the deck in any order (players never draw fewer than 3 shows) |
| Tech Pioneer | Count only the network cards in your green room, not ones used and discarded |
| Viral Marketer | You cannot lose viewers from this effect; in Telly Time, cash from empty grid squares is not income |
| Voice of a Generation | The attached show may fill a star requirement and adds its viewers and expenses like a star, but loses its own effect; cancel the new show and both go to reruns. It is not a star for Award Show, Spinoff or Cheapo |
[Execs] The Specialist executive gains two moguls in its own way and ignores mogul tokens (Executives). [Telly] In Telly Time, the second completed line gives a mogul bonus (Telly Time).
