Pluto Promo
The SETI Pluto promo card (SE EN 01, “Not a planet since 2006”): how to orbit and land on Pluto, its costs, its single orbiter and lander spaces and card interactions.
Short tag: [Pluto]
The card

Promo card SE EN 01, first given out at SPIEL 2024. It is a main-deck project card that costs 0 credits: shuffle it into the deck. When you play it, keep it in front of you — its picture becomes Pluto, with one orbiter space and one lander space. Picture: BoardGameGeek.
How Pluto works
- Pluto has no space on the solar system board: you can’t visit it, so it gives no publicity.
- If you have a probe on any space of the outermost ring, you may use an
Orbit or
Land action to move that probe onto the card’s orbiter or lander space. - Normal costs: orbit 1 credit + 1 energy; land 3 energy, or 2 with your orbiter already there; the landing tech discounts it.
- Only you can orbit or land on your Pluto, and it holds just 1 orbiter and 1 lander.
- It still counts as a planet for other effects: its orbiter and lander count for the gold tile that pairs sector wins with orbiters and landers and for missions needing an orbiter or lander.
Interactions
Atmospheric Entry (#15) and Sample Return (#84) can remove your orbiter or lander from Pluto, letting you go there again; Dragonfly (#16) lets you land on it a second time.
