Welcome to Lorenzo il Magnifico

Florence, the Renaissance. You lead a noble family and send its members around the city to win lands, sponsor buildings, influence people and back great ventures — while keeping the Church on your side.
The game lasts 6 rounds in 3 periods. The player with the most
Victory Points wins.
Points come from your cards at the end, from the Church when you support it, and from what your
Buildings produce.
2–4 players (5 with Houses of Renaissance), about 60–120 minutes. Ready? Open the setup checklist — it adapts to your player count.
Your family and the dice
You have 4 Family Members: three coloured ones and one uncoloured one.
At the start of each round the first player rolls the black, white and orange dice. Each coloured
Family Member is worth the die of its colour; the uncoloured one is worth 0. Every
servant you spend adds 1.
Each action space needs a minimum value — higher for better rewards. Family Members and dice.
Where to go
On your turn, place one Family Member and do that action:
- Towers — take a Development card:
Territory,
Building,
Character or
Venture. A second pawn in a tower costs 3 coins.
Harvest — your Territories produce goods.
Production — your Buildings produce or exchange.- Market — coins, servants, Military Points or
privileges. - Council Palace — a privilege, a coin and the first turn next round.
The Church
At the end of rounds 2, 4 and 6 comes a Vatican Report. You need 3, 4 and then 5
Faith Points.
- Enough Faith: spend it all to support the Church and score the points under your disc.
- Too little — or you refuse: you are excommunicated and suffer that period’s tile for the rest of the game.
Final scoring
After round 6, add to the points on the track:
Territories: 3–6 cards score 1 / 4 / 10 / 20.
Characters: 1–6 cards score 1 / 3 / 6 / 10 / 15 / 21.
Ventures: the points printed on them.
Military track: 5 for the most, 2 for second.- 1 point for every 5 goods left.
Most points wins. Final scoring.
