Welcome to Lisboa

Lisbon, 1755. An earthquake, a tsunami and three days of fire have destroyed the city. You are a noble helping the King, the Marquis de Pombal and the royal builder Manuel da Maia to rebuild it — and to win the court’s favour.
The player with the most
wigs at the end wins. Wigs come from:
Stores downtown, scored by matching Public Buildings.
Ships that sail full of goods.- The end of the game — majorities, Decrees, money, ships and rubble sets.
1–4 players (solo against the automated rival Lacerda), about 30 minutes per player. Ready to set up? Open the setup checklist — it adapts to your player count.
The court, the church and downtown

- The Royal Court — three Nobles, each with two State actions in his office and one big Noble action: Manuel builds stores, the Marquis gives Decrees, the King opens Public Buildings.
- The Church — the Cardinal walks around the Clergy tiles; each tile is a lasting power.
- Downtown — rows A–E between four streets: gold, cloth, books and tools. Rubble lies at the row and column ends; Public Building sites surround it.
- Your player board — your portfolio of cards, warehouses, rubble, houses and Officials.
Details: Teach the Game.
Your turn: play one card
Each turn you play one card of your five, then draw one.
- Into your portfolio — take its reward or réis, then
sell goods to any ship or
trade 1–2 goods with the Nobles for State actions. - Into the Royal Court — a Noble card
visits him: pay Influence, take one State
action free, then his Noble action. Others may follow with a Royal Favor. - A Treasury card in the court
sponsors its event for réis. - Stuck? Discard a card for
1 gold.

Build the city
Stores (Manuel) cost the Treasury value plus the rubble left in their row and
column. They produce goods and score the Scoring tile of their column for each matching
Public Building in their row or at the head of their street.
Public Buildings (the King) need a Plan and Officials. They score every
matching store — whoever owns it.
Every building gives rubble: one cube of each colour makes a set, which
enlarges your portfolio and warehouses and scores 3 wigs at the end of each period.

Two periods, then the wigs
The 2nd rubble set anyone completes, or 3 empty card decks, ends period 1: 3 wigs per set, a hand discard for rewards, new ships and new cards. The 4th set, or 3 empty decks again, ends the game after one more round.
At the end score: ships, rubble sets, store majorities,
1 wig per 5 réis,
Decrees,
Officials on completed Plans and
Royal
Favors kept.
