Event Cards and Promos
Kutná Hora's event cards — required with 2 players, optional with 3 or 4 — their setup and timing, all ten events, and the two promo event cards.
Event cards
Ten event cards, split into deck A and deck B by their backs, add economic activity. They are required with 2 players (they stand in for the missing players’ demand) and optional with 3 or 4. Leave them out of a first game at 3–4.

Setup
- Shuffle deck A and deck B separately.
- Deal one card face down above every space of the rounds track except the last round: A cards for the rounds before the red-patrician stack, B cards for the rounds after it.
- Reveal the round 1 event before play starts. If it shows a
tax in its top left
corner, advance the tax counter by that much.
Timing
- When revealed: add the event’s tax, if any.
- During and at the end of the round: the card says when its effect applies — usually at the end of the round.
- Deck advances printed on an event happen at the end of the round, before taxes and patrician scoring.
- When the next round is set up, reveal its event.
The ten events
The rulebook pictures only Land Rush; the other faces are read from the card sheets of a public
Tabletop Simulator mod. A
number is added to the tax when the card is revealed; a
number advances the ore deck and a
number the population deck at the end of the round. Pictures of
every face are in Cards & Components.
| Event | What it does |
|---|---|
| Sedlec Abbey (A) | Tax 2; at the end of the round, the top tile of each guild building stack goes to the bottom of its stack |
| Silver Fever (A) | Population deck +2; at the end of the round everyone refills their miner pool for free |
| Land Rush (A, rulebook p. 7) | Tax 4; population deck +2; nobody pays taxes this round, not even plot tax |
| Siege of Kutná Hora (A) | Tax 2; at the end of the round, remove the top tile of each of the three starting public building stacks |
| Ius Regale Montanorum (A) | Ore deck +2; at the end of the round, discard the next 5 mine tiles from the stack |
| Cathedral Construction (A) | Ore deck +2; at the end of the round each player gains 1 pelican |
| Michal of Vrchoviště (B) | Tax 3; at the end of the round, discard the top tile of each stack in the leftmost column of the town hall board (thread) |
| 180,000 Groschen (B) | Ore deck +3; before taxes, flip the current St. Barbara tile and add its tax |
| A Visit from the King (B) | Population deck +3; this round taxes, plot tax included, are doubled — reputation penalties stay as printed (thread) |
| Abbot Heidenreich (B) | Tax 3; at the end of the round, the three leftmost building stacks move to the right end of their rows |
Promo cards
Two promo event cards were published by Czech Games Edition. Each is an extra event you shuffle into the event cards; neither card’s front says which deck (A or B) it belongs to — check its back.
