Game End and Scoring
When Carnegie ends, how major-city connections score against your slowest transport level, and every item of final scoring.
End of the game
The game ends after 20 rounds: all four action markers have reached the last spaces of their rows and every player has finished the round, including activating employees. Then score.
Connections between major cities
The four major cities are New York, Chicago, New Orleans and San Francisco. If a continuous chain of your own construction disks links at least two of them, you score the connection table on the board.
- Add up the
connection points of the major cities in your network — printed
under each city: San Francisco 2, the other three 1 each. - Find your lowest transport level among all the regions that hold those cities.
- Read the table:
| Connection points | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 3 | 6 | 9 |
| 3 | 6 | 12 | 18 |
| 4 | 12 | 18 | 27 |
| 5 | 18 | 24 | 36 |
- Two separate networks: only the better one scores.
- A city counts once however many routes reach it.
- You can’t leave a linked city out to avoid a slow region.

You may still sell goods cubes for $1 during final scoring, for example to pay Welfare donations.
[D&D] Expansion Departments 20, 24, 28 and 32 and the New Donation tiles add conditions here (Departments & Donations).
Ties
There is no tie-breaker: tied players share the victory.
