Capital Actions
Trade, pyramids, Rituals, and Sacrifice.
Capital actions
You may perform Capital actions repeatedly as resources allow. They must all happen before construction, but the Capital actions themselves may be taken in any order. The designer confirmed that order.
Buy a Trade tile
Spend 1, 2, or 3 Gold for a tile from its matching level. A level-one tile gives its benefit immediately; a level-two tile can be used once each round; a level-three tile may be immediate, once per round, or permanent. Take no more than one tile from each level in a round. A once-per-round tile refreshes at the start of the next round.
Build a Pyramid
Spend one Priest plus one Wood, one Brick, and one Stone for a level. To start on an empty Pyramid space, place one of your largest remaining pieces and choose a Scoring tile for that Pyramid. To extend an unfinished Pyramid, add the next smaller piece. You may add at most one level to any one Pyramid in a round.
Perform a Ritual
Spend one Priest and put one of your discs on a displayed Ritual card. You cannot put a second disc of your colour on the same card. If opponents already have discs there, pay one Gold per opponent disc. Normally you need at least as many Pyramid levels as Ritual discs you will have out, up to three. The Z36 Trade tile ignores those costs for its own placement; a later regular Ritual still checks your total Pyramid levels. See the official clarification.
Sacrifice
Pay one Priest and between one and five Corn, then move your disc that many spaces up the Sacrifice track. Collect every reward along the route, not just the destination. Track spaces grant points, resources, or ongoing discounts. The ninth space removes the Priest cost for later Ritual actions; the eleventh grants one immediate free Ritual placement.
