The race

Choose one of the four tracks. Its Lap Track shows how many laps the race runs.
Shuffle the Race deck (84 cards) and the Event deck (26 cards) separately and put them beside the board.
Put the Current Lap marker on space 1 of the Lap Track. Lay out one Position marker per car in the race, 1st on the left; return the rest to the box. Put the Wear and Turn Leader markers in the infield. Put the Current Leader marker on the pole car.
The owner of the pole car takes the First Player marker, light side up.
