Team Challenge

Up to 12 cars, wider track tiles, Figure 8 and Pursuit races.

Setup

For a field up to 12 cars, each player takes a car and all standard components; alternatively each player may control two cars. When one player controls two cars, use separate gear markers to distinguish them. Use the expansion’s wider three- and four-lane equivalents as recommended for seven or more cars. For each mode, assemble the named track using the ready-to-play tile list in the booklet.

Figure 8

Use the intersection tile and double starting grid with both routes facing the same direction. On the central intersection lanes, a car may only enter from the direction in which the cars travel. If a car approaches from the wrong direction while the central lane is occupied, it is blocked in the preceding space. Normal overtaking and blocking apply.

Pursuit

Use the double starting grid with its two sides facing opposite directions. It divides the circuit into two courses and separates cars into groups A and B. Randomly split single-car drivers as evenly as possible; a player with two cars places one on each side. This mode needs tiles from World Tour and/or Championship.

Spectacular Races

The expansion supplies Figure 8, Pursuit and other special ready-to-play races. Use each track’s printed layout and component list; keep standard movement and risk resolution except where the mode’s intersection or starting-grid rules above change it. Team Challenge also supplies components for up to 12 cars and 3-/4-lane track pieces.
