Wolfgang's Exchange Office

Official mini-expansion from the Deutscher Spielepreis 2018 Goodie Box.

Setup

This mini-expansion uses the front side of each pot and the shared two-sided test-tube stand. Choose its brown or green side, assemble it and place it in the middle. Each player puts their unused droplet on the leftmost tube: value 15 on the brown side or 12 on the green side. This is a second shared-table track, separate from the droplet inside each pot.

Moving the exchange-office droplet

Whenever an effect or two-ruby payment would move the droplet inside your pot, you may instead advance your exchange-office droplet one tube to the right. It does not grant an immediate reward merely for moving; its value changes the end-game calculation or the cost of victory points, depending on the chosen side.

Brown side

At game end, add the printed values of all chips still in your bag and pot, including white chips. Divide that total by the number under your exchange-office droplet and add the result to your score. Example: a total chip value of 60 divided by 15 adds 4 points; divided by 2 adds 30. This track only matters for final scoring.

Green side

At the green track’s position, the printed exchange rate sets the cost of one victory point. At its initial position, a point costs 12 coins; at the final tube, it costs 2. During any shopping phase, buy as many points as you can afford at the current rate. You may still buy ingredients under the regular limit, and points are an additional purchase.
