Christmas Promo

The Christmas Time print-and-play promo for Grand Austria Hotel: a green Christmas room for each player and five Present tokens.

Short tag: [Xmas]. A free print-and-play promo by Sabrina von Contzen, published by Lookout Games in December 2020. Santa comes to the hotel: each player gets a Christmas room only green guests can use, and every guest who stays there brings a present.

Components

	5 Present tokens, face down until taken.

Print them and glue them onto card so they are sturdier.

Setup

1. After the whole base setup, each player places a Christmas room tile on their Hotel board, next to one of their starting rooms. Ignore the colour printed on the space, but pay the row’s cost as usual. Unused Christmas rooms go back to the box.
2. Shuffle the 5 Present tokens face down, return one to the box unseen and put the other 4 by the board.
3. Turn one Present face up.

The Christmas room

When you complete a green guest’s order, you may move them into your Christmas room instead of a blue, red or yellow room. You score the bonus points printed on the Christmas room on top of the guest’s points, discard the guest and turn the room to its occupied side.

Presents

Then take a Present: the face-up one, or one at random from the face-down ones. Take its bonus at once and remove it from play. If you took the face-up one, turn another face up for the next player.

Occupancy bonus

The Christmas room is green — neither blue, red nor yellow. When it sits in a group, only the group’s other rooms count for its occupancy bonus.
