Welcome to Grand Austria Hotel

Vienna, around 1900. Each player runs a small hotel and wants to make it the city’s finest. Guests order dishes and drinks in your café; serve them and they move into a room of their colour, paying points and a reward. Hire Staff, and keep the Emperor happy.
The player with the most points after 7 rounds wins. Points come from:
- Guests — when they move into rooms, and full groups of rooms pay bonuses.
- The Emperor — after rounds 3, 5 and 7.
- The end — occupied rooms, Staff, money and leftovers.
2–4 players (or solo against the Automa), about 60–120 minutes. Ready? Open the setup checklist — it adapts to your player count.
The boards

- Game board — the queue of 5 guests (the newest cost most), the Emperor track, the Round track, three Politics cards and three Emperor tiles.
- Action board — six spaces, one per die number; dice are sorted onto them each round.
- Your Hotel board — 20 rooms in blue, red and yellow, your kitchen, your café with 3 tables and your money track (you start with 10 krones).
Guests only take rooms of their colour — green tourists take any. Your Hotel.
A turn
Turns follow the Turn Order tiles: 1-2-3-4, then 4-3-2-1. On your turn:
- Take a guest (optional) — pay its cost and seat it in your café.
- Take a die — the more dice on its space, the stronger the action:

krones, 5 a Staff card, 6 any other action for 1 krone.
At any time on your turn you may also move served guests into rooms, serve from the kitchen, claim a Politics card or use a Staff card. The full turn.
Serving guests
Dishes and drinks you receive go straight onto your guests’ orders (the rest to your kitchen). When an order is complete, move the guest into a free room of their colour: score their points and take their reward. The last room of a group pays a bonus — points for blue, krones for red, Emperor steps for yellow.
A guest still in the café at the end costs 5 points. Occupying rooms.
The Emperor and the end
After rounds 3, 5 and 7 the Emperor scores: points for your space, then move back 3, 5 or 7. Land on 3 or more for the tile’s bonus; on 0 you suffer its penalty. Emperor scoring.
After round 7: game-end Staff, occupied rooms (1–4 points by floor), 1 point per krone and per item in the kitchen, −5 per guest left in the café. Most points wins. Final scoring.
