Common mistakes

  • A bend in the road does not change movement; only its printed terrain does. Ruling · Rule
  • A rider can pass through occupied lanes, but cannot finish on an occupied lane; a full square stops it behind. Ruling · Rule
  • Resolve the roundabout split in its special lane order. A rider on one split lane cannot draft from the other split lane. Ruling · Rule
  • A rider blocked beyond the finish still completes its card as far as the track permits; no card is illegal if drawn correctly. Ruling · Rule
  • Exhaustion checks a whole empty square after slipstreaming; an empty lane alone does not trigger it. Ruling · Rule

Do the turns in a track affect movement?

No. A bend by itself has no effect; use only the terrain printed on a space. (Community answer)

Can the rear rider follow a slipstream through a split or roundabout lane? Official

Asger confirms the illustrated move in the thread. Use the printed split-lane rule: the front rider enters the split first, then the pack follows if a legal lane remains.

Can riders deliberately block one another?

A rider cannot pass through an occupied lane at its destination. If the intended square is full, it stops in the nearest available space behind it. This can make a rider lose movement, especially on narrow roads. The forum discussion is community interpretation, not an official ruling.

What if a rider runs out of Energy cards? Official

May players inspect played or face-up recycled cards? Official

The designer treats this as a table-agreement choice: groups can decide what information players may inspect, then use that convention consistently. This is not a hidden-information ruling imposed by the designer.

On a one-lane cobblestone square, does an empty adjacent lane mean a rider is exposed? Official

No. A square can have one, two or three lanes, but it is still one square. Check whether the entire square directly ahead is empty before assigning Exhaustion.

Do I add the solo handicap Exhaustion cards again at the start of every stage? Official

No. Add the starting handicap as the solo rules instruct for the Tour, then between stages keep half of each rider’s Exhaustion, rounded down. Do not add the initial handicap again.

How is a tie in Tour Points broken? Official

The rider best placed in the most recent stage wins the tie. The designer noted that an app tiebreak result can be wrong; use the printed Tour rule.

Can a played card be illegal if it would move beyond the finish tile?

No card is illegal when it was drawn correctly. Move as far as the track permits on the last tile; the end of the course prevents further movement. The thread’s answer is a player interpretation consistent with the published finish rule, not an official ruling.

Who takes Exhaustion on an ascent when riders are in a group?

Only riders with a complete empty square directly ahead take Exhaustion. A rider with another cyclist in the square ahead does not, even if the adjacent lane is empty. (Community answer; the rulebook controls.)

Between Grand Tour stages, should retained Exhaustion be shuffled immediately?

The rules say to return half of each rider’s remaining Exhaustion to the supply, rounded down. The forum replies suggest shuffling the remaining cards into the deck, but that point is not confirmed by a designer or publisher representative.

Do dummy teams score Tour Points in a Grand Tour?

Players in this thread report awarding Tour Points to dummy teams and adjusting the next stage’s starting order. They disagree on whether a bot should gain Exhaustion after winning. Treat those choices as house rules and use the official bot instructions for the chosen solo mode.

If one Peloton bot rider has finished, which movement does the next Attack! card give the rider still racing?

A participant recommends 9 spaces and points to an earlier discussion. The designer’s linked post is not included here, so this answer remains unmarked until that earlier post is verified.

Can blocking cause a crash on a wet straight?

Yes. Under Meteo, a rider that loses at least one movement because of blocking and stops on the wet tile crashes. The thread’s comment describes this effect but is not an official ruling; follow the publisher’s weather rule sheet.
