What it adds

| Component | |
|---|---|
![]() | 20 Museum Bonus tiles: they replace the Coin you gain for each empty Museum space, and pay out when someone discovers the Dragon |
![]() | The Komodo Dragon: a rare specimen that moves to the specimen just delivered |
Setup changes
After step 16 of the main board setup:
- Put the Special Wax Seals (purple) beside the main board instead of on the silver plate.
- Put one random Museum Bonus tile face up over the +1 Coin symbol in the bottom-right corner of each space of the Museum display.
- Put 4 more Museum Bonus tiles face up in a row on the silver plate.
- Put the Komodo Dragon above the tiles on the silver plate.
Delivering with the Komodo Dragon
When you deliver a specimen:
- For each empty space in its row and column you take the bonus on that space’s Museum Bonus tile instead of the printed Coin. Filled spaces still give Evolution steps, and the new tile still gives nothing.
- Take the Museum Bonus tile from the space where you placed the specimen and add it to the end of the bottom row on the silver plate; when a row there has four tiles, start a new row.
- Move the Komodo Dragon onto the Specimen token on the Island or Ocean track that matches the delivered specimen.
Discovering the Komodo Dragon
If your Explorer or Ship ends its move on the Dragon’s space, you discover it:
- Take every bonus currently showing on the Museum Bonus tiles on the silver plate.
- Remove the top-left tile there from the game; slide the rest of the top row left and fill its right end with the first tile of the next row, row by row. The tiles never change order.
- Then research the specimen on that space as usual.
You must move at least one space to discover it; passing the Dragon gives nothing.
| Bonus tile | Gives |
