Welcome to Algae, Inc.

Everyone works for the same company, Algae, Inc., but each player runs a different department —
Biofuel,
Bioplastics,
Cosmetics or
Food. In four weeks you turn algae into products and export them across Europe.
The department with the most
victory points at the end of the month wins.
1–4 players (solo against Bruno), 90–120 minutes. Ready? The setup checklist adapts to your player count.
Your factory

Algae arrive in your
storage, then three machines move them along the
conveyor belts:
A to Station 1,
B to Station 2,
C to the dispatch area, where they are finished goods.
Machine A usually loses some algae as
byproduct — burn it for
energy or store it for
euros. Machines B and C can feed the other
department’s byproduct back into your line. Factory basics
A week
Each week: Monday Morning income (
algae,
cube moves,
science, euros and VP), then a Work Week of five turns, then the Weekend.
On your turn your
supervisor climbs one strip of the action board to a connected
spot. Take that action —
recruit, activate a team or activate a machine — or the
alternate action: a choice token, €1, an algae cube or one cube move.

Exporting

Activate your
operators to export: for each city, deliver finished goods
whose
market value reaches its
demand, pay transport from the
nearest disk, and place an
export disk. Each disk you move reveals income on
your side board and may complete a
milestone.
Export in each of weeks 1–3 for a free team upgrade. Export
The end of the month
After week 4, score: milestone bonuses (if your
energy is not negative), your
export tiles’ VP, your largest group of
science tiles, your contract, and
1 VP per 4 leftover resources. Most VP wins.
Upgrade one or two production lines fully rather than everything a little, and keep your energy out of the red. Scoring · Tips
