Round End and Final Scoring

Panamax end of round: Rail table, cargo fees and bailouts, dividends, Managing Director Awards, maintenance, and final scoring

End of round

When the last Action die has been taken, resolve in this order:

  1. Rail table — new turn order and flags
  2. Cargo fees — companies pay for cargo still waiting
  3. Dividends — companies pay shareholders
  4. Managing Director Award
  5. Maintenance — reset for the next round

A Stevedore card can be played during the fee step, even one earned on the last turn of the round (BGG thread).

Rail table

  1. Move all dice from the 1st wagon to the 2nd wagon, keeping their order.
  2. New turn order: the highest total of a player’s dice in the 2nd wagon goes first, then down. Ties go to the player whose die is further left. Players with no dice there come after them (the rulebook does not order them; keeping their current order is the usual reading). Move the discs to match.
  3. Move the dice to the train platform. In the new order, each player with a die there takes one flag of their choice from the Rail table and places it on their Clipboard, with its free action; then their dice go to the Dice Pool.

Taking the flag, and using its free action, is optional (BGG thread).

Cargo fees

Each company pays the bank:

Where its die isFee per die
On a ship in the canal (locks, Culebra Cut, lakes) or in a Loading zoneThe purple fee printed in that zone, $1–$4
On an incomplete contract$4
In the Warehouse$5
On the Rail table or in the Dice Poolnothing

The fee belongs to the owner of the cargo, never to the ship’s owner. The die’s value does not matter.

Bailouts

Managing Director Awards

Maintenance of cargo

  1. Refill the Rail table so it has one flag of each nation.
  2. Move all dice from the Dice Pool to the Warehouse.
  3. Roll the Action and Executive dice again as at setup, mulligan included (Official FAQ).

Final scoring

After round 3’s end-of-round steps, add up:

AddsSubtracts
Your personal money$15 for each $10 Bailout you took
Your best 2 Financial Advisor cards, secret goal included
Your Managing Director Awards
Every share you hold, sold at its company’s current price

Company money is ignored. The richest player wins; a tie goes to the player earlier in the final turn order.
