Promo Places and Caravan Leader

Istanbul's mini expansions: the Kebab Shop (replaces the Fountain), the Pegasus Depot (replaces the Post Office) and the Caravan Leader tile.

Three small promos, each usable with any version of the game. The Caravan Leader is in the Big Box; the two promo Places came out separately (the Kebab Shop in spielbox magazine, 2014; the Pegasus Depot in 2016). The Pegasus Depot rules here are translated from the Italian promo sheet.

Kebab Shop

At setup, replace the Fountain with the Kebab Shop, following all layout rules for the Fountain (an inner Place). When your Merchant goes there, choose:

1. Fountain: call back any number of your Assistants, exactly as at the Fountain.
2. Family member: pick up or leave an Assistant as usual and pay any other Merchants 2 Lira; then pay 2 to the supply, send your Family member to any other Place and take that Place’s action. The Family member has no encounters. Not allowed if your Family member is at the Police Station.

Afterwards your Merchant may meet the Governor and Smuggler as usual.

Pegasus Depot

Short tag: [Pegasus]

It replaces the Post Office. At setup put 3 Mail indicators on the spaces for die faces 4, 5 and 6; the fourth indicator is not used. The spaces pay: 1 = 2 Lira, 2 = 3 Lira, 3 = 1 fruit, 4 = 1 spice, 5 = 1 fabric, 6 = 1 jewelry or 1 coffee [Mocha] or 1 Letter [Letters].

Action: roll both dice and compare them with the covered numbers:

• both covered: move nothing;
• one covered: move one indicator so both rolled numbers are covered — not the one already covering the other number;
• none covered: move two indicators onto the two numbers (a double: move one).

Then take what the three uncovered spaces show.

Caravan Leader

At the start put the Caravan tile (a black camel in the original promo) on the Caravansary. Whoever carries out the Caravansary action takes it at the end of that turn and becomes the Caravan Leader, until another player uses the Caravansary.

If you are already the Caravan Leader when you use the Caravansary, you keep both cards you draw and discard none.
