Introductory Game

A one-era version for a shorter first game.

One Canal Era

For a shorter first game, play the Canal Era normally and do not continue into the Rail Era. After the normal Canal Era scoring, add:

1. Money: 1 VP for every £4 in your player area, up to 15 VP.
2. Income: VP equal to your income level. A negative income level loses that many VP.
3. Industry: score the printed points again for each of your level 2 or higher Industry tiles still on the board.

Highest score wins. This variant does not replace the normal Canal Era setup or rules; use the additional scoring only after its end-of-era scoring.
