Learn Brass: Birmingham
Learn the game in 5 short steps. Everything links to the full rules.
Build a Midlands business
Build industries, connect cities with canal and rail links, then sell Cotton, Manufactured Goods, and Pottery through Merchants. The most Victory Points after Rail scoring wins. See the two eras and set up the board.
Spend cards for actions
Each action costs a discarded card; Build also needs the right location or industry. Take two actions, refill to eight while the deck lasts, and remember the first Canal round has only one action. Spending less money than other players moves you earlier next round. Turn and card rules.
Build and connect
Your network includes locations with your Industry tiles and locations beside your Link tiles. Build the lowest tile of a type in a matching open space; use Location cards to build outside your network. Build and Overbuild and network rules.
Feed the industries
Coal is needed for certain buildings and every rail link; iron pays for certain buildings and Develop; beer fuels sales and a two-link rail action. These resources follow different connection rules. Resource rules and the six actions.
Score, reset, and build again
At each era end, score and remove your links, then score your flipped Industry tiles. Level 1 tiles leave after Canal scoring; level 2 and higher can score again after Rail. Scoring and maintenance.
