Tips & Strategy
Teach the cube choice and the cost of time first.
Teach the game
Start with the family’s life cycle. Take a coloured cube, choose whether to pay for its action, then show a black cube causing two time. Explain the chronicle before discussing long-term career scoring.
First game
Play the base game before adding all three major expansions. Keep the selected player-count setup card beside the green bag; it is the round’s cube recipe.
Planning
Choose generations as carefully as professions. A younger villager can preserve an endgame church or council position; an older one can secure a chronicle slot. Grain and coins support several systems, so check what you need before spending them at Market.
Host game
Rehearse a market with two sales: the initiator’s first sale avoids the entry surcharge, but the next one does not. Show that Mass buying happens before random draws. Use one spare villager to demonstrate a quill crossing, chronicle profession and full-category graveyard burial.
