Choose the two Fighters who make up your team.

Choose a team

For later matches, select two Fighters. You can agree on teams or use a draft. Return unused Fighter boards and Draft cards to the box once teams are set.

Standard Draft

Shuffle the Draft cards and deal half to each player face down. Each player chooses one card and reveals it at the same time. Pass the remaining cards to the other player, then choose a second Fighter from that hand. Reveal both choices together.

Competitive Draft

Use the Standard Draft sequence, but after choosing your first Fighter, set one other card aside face down before passing the rest. That Fighter is unavailable to the other player.

Choose directly

Players may skip drafting and simply choose the Fighters they want. This is the simplest way to teach the game; for a first match, use the recommended pairing described on Teach the Game.
