Solo Game
Solo Game for Sweet Lands.
Setup
Use the two-player layout and a regular Character and Map Board for yourself. Remove the Milestone Tiles and Final Scoring Tiles. Mio has no Player Board or resources. Give Mio a colour and set her Round Aid Tokens beside the Round Aid Board. Separate the 16 Solo Game Cards into Deck A and Deck B (eight cards each), and shuffle each deck face down.
Round changes
During each Income Phase reveal the top card of each deck. Place one Action Disc on each Action Area indicated; those spaces are blocked for you that round. Take your turns consecutively. When you pass and move your Round Aid Token, put Mio’s token on the space you just left; that Round Aid space is unavailable for the next round.
Play five rounds and score your own game by the two-player rules. Mio does not score Victory Points. The rulebook gives performance markers: more than 250 points is Expert Pâtissier; more than 300 points is a Benevolent Ruler and Legend of Sweet Lands.
Variants
The published rulebook also describes optional variants:
- Variable Turn Order: use the Turn Order Board and markers; passing order determines the next round’s order.
- Hand Drafting: in Round 1, draft six cards one at a time from a passed hand before continuing setup.
- Advanced Skill Tiles: reveal player count plus one Advanced Skill Tiles. When gaining a Skill Tile, you may spend a Diamond to take an Advanced tile instead.
These variants are optional; the setup and rules above describe the standard solo game.
