Solo — Dinah

Play against Dinah, an automated opponent with four difficulties and a shuffled action deck.

Setup

Use the two-player setup with six crowns. Choose Dinah’s difficulty by its coloured board side: green (easy), purple (normal), orange (hard) or blue (very hard). Put the black marker at the start and use the coloured marker and all Heart and Diamond tokens. Draw two Train cards; you choose a colour and Dinah takes the opposite.

Shuffle Dinah’s ten-card deck: two each of Pawn, Bishop, Rook and Knight, and one each of King and Queen.

Dinah’s turn

Reveal the top card. Dinah uses a resource from her track to move the indicated piece. If it can capture, capture the highest-priority legal target; otherwise rescue a jailed piece, then move by the card’s priority. Sliding pieces move as far as possible. They do not move backward unless no other legal direction exists; Pawns follow their printed exception.

Gain Tea for a Wild row. Dinah ignores the column and resolves only the action on the card. At the checkpoint, she repeats the action and returns the deck to the bottom. After the deck runs out, shuffle its discard pile.

Dinah pays no human resource costs. Her difficulty board determines how her progress converts to IP. At the end, score the highest Wish, invited characters and the flat IP for her board’s flowers, Bookmarks and other listed bonuses.

Human action priorities

If Dinah cannot use the drawn piece, she takes the card’s fallback action. Her invitation and acquisition priorities are printed on the chosen difficulty side; use those priorities exactly rather than selecting freely.
