Game End and Scoring
The last quarter, the final Prestige exchange, bankruptcy, Cash plus VP, ties, and every source of points.
Last quarter
Rounds X–XII use the Last Quarter cards and the four Last Quarter Fashion Show tiles, which judge only their top category (Last quarter). Several Last Quarter cards pay off only at the final Award phase or at the final scoring.
Final scoring
After the Exhibition round XII:
- Final Prestige exchange — exchange the Prestige won in round XII for VP at the usual rate (1/2/3 VP per token with 2/3/4 players).
- Bankruptcy — a player who still has Loans they can’t repay is out of the scoring.
- Total — each player adds their Cash to their VP. The highest total wins.
- Tie — the tied player with more VP on the track wins: the most prestigious house.
Final-scoring card effects (the Real Estate Agency building, for example) apply here.
Ways to score
| Source | When | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Collection sale | Each Exhibition | Cash printed on each Design shown (+2 for the “2 Cash” bonus) |
| Prestige effect | Each Exhibition | Cash = Prestige won that round × Designs shown |
| Prestige → VP | Next Exhibition and the end | 1 / 2 / 3 VP per token (2 / 3 / 4 players) |
| Investment House | Any Upkeep | Spend 5 / 10 / 15 Cash for 8 / 17 / 25 VP |
| Other cards | As printed | Cash, Prestige or VP |
| Cash in hand | End | 1 point per Cash |
| Debts | Every round | Upkeep and interest; a Loan costs 28 to repay 20; unpaid Loans at the end = bankrupt |
Scores of several hundred points are normal.
