Welcome to Point City
Gather Resources, build an expanding City, and score the most points. Each card has a Resource side for paying costs and a Building side for adding to your tableau.
You get 17 turns to draft two cards, construct affordable Buildings, and claim Civic Tokens. Ready? Open the setup checklist.
Watch the market flip
The 4×4 Market starts Resource side up. Whenever a Resource leaves a space, its replacement shows a Building; when a Building leaves, its replacement shows a Resource. The grid gradually changes with every choice.
You may take two cards next to each other horizontally or vertically. If no affordable pair works for you, take the top two cards from the Draw Pile. Draft rules.
Pay to build
Take Resource cards into your hand to pay for a later Building, or pair an adjacent Resource and Building on one turn. A Building’s cost must be paid right away with matching cards, one wild Ingenuity per resource, or permanent resources already in your City.
New Buildings’ permanent resources become usable next turn. See how to build.
Choose Civic Tokens
Some Buildings let you claim a Civic Token instead of giving points or a permanent resource. Pick a token whose scoring condition fits the City you are building. Tokens that show several resource types reward complete sets; two Community plus two Energy symbols make two pairs.
The Kickstarter bundle adds four more scoring tokens; see the promo rules.
Score your City
When the Draw Pile runs out and the Market cannot refill, add points from Buildings and Civic Tokens. Tokens that score resources count permanent icons in your City, not Resource cards left in hand. On a multiplayer tie, the player with more unspent Resource cards wins; otherwise the players share victory.
