Game End and Scoring
The end of round three and every immediate and final score source.
When the game ends
Finish the End of Round steps after round three, then resolve final scoring. The player with the most VP wins; ties go to the tied player furthest left on the Turn Order Track. Rulebook §11, pp. 15–16.
Immediate points
- Sell pottery: for each piece sold, gain the current market VP for its type and whether it is painted. A sale moves the corresponding market marker down by that round’s Demand Tile value. You may sell at most two pieces in a Sell action; only pieces in
Firing Kilns or Glaze Kilns qualify. - Card and action rewards: gain VP when a card, wheel space, Technology advance, Bonus Tile or completed Cleanup Card shows immediate-scoring points. The immediate VP icon is the pottery workshop/building symbol with a number.
- Score track laps: when you complete one lap, place your +50 VP token; flip it to +100 after a second lap. Continue tracking VP on the score track.
Endgame scoring, in order
- Kiln pieces: sell every piece remaining in a
Firing Kiln or Glaze Kiln. Gain 1 VP for an unpainted piece and 2 VP for a painted piece. Set them aside as usual. - Endgame Scoring Cards: score only the cards played facedown beneath your Workshop Board during an End of Round. A hand card discarded for a wild action does not score. Cards that score sets of the same workshop type give 0/1/3/6/10 VP for 1/2/3/4/5 qualifying cards; the Esparto scoring card instead gives 0/1/5/10 VP for 1/2/3/4 Esparto cards. The printed Esparto Card on your board counts. Other scoring cards give 1 VP for each sold piece of the indicated type.
- Esparto set: score 0/1/3/6 VP for 1/2/3/4 different Esparto Cards on your Workshop Board. The printed Esparto card counts as one of the set.
- Cracks: lose 1 VP for every Crack still in your
Cleaning Area. Cracks on Cleanup Cards are not in that area and do not count as penalty. - First Player Token: its holder gains 2 VP.
- Remaining resources: gain 1 VP per five combined Perra Gorda tokens, Glazes and Clay. Count only complete groups of five.
The publisher’s rulebook describes these in sections 11.1–11.6. The rulebook clarifies in the official BGG ruling on Endgame Scoring Cards that only cards played to your board count. A second publisher ruling confirms the printed board Esparto card counts as one card.
