Game End & Final Scoring
Dante's final stop, the last round, and the six steps of final scoring: Fraud cards, Phlegethon, extra Diplomas, Diplomas, loans and Reputation in Florence.
When the game ends
The game ends when someone accuses a sinner and Dante reaches his final stop: that player scores 2 Infamy, the ice-blue Diploma is awarded, and that was their last turn. Every other player then takes one last turn, in order. If one of them accuses, Dante does not move, but their Skull still advances and they take the track’s bonus.
Final scoring
Score in this order.
- Fraud cards
— in reverse order, from the last player to take a turn back to
the one who moved Dante to the end, each player checks their played Fraud cards: for each card
whose endgame Barrel they own, apply one of its two endgame effects (or neither). Resolve your
own cards in any order. - Adjust the Phlegethon
— first remove any Geryon Pits, leaving their
shields empty. Then, one circle at a time from the top down, move that circle’s Phlegethon cube
one space left for every empty shield in the circle. A shield with anything on it — any Soul,
standing or lying, a Guardian, a Guardian piece — is not empty. A cube never goes below 1. - Extra Diplomas
— in reverse order again, each pair of ½ Diploma tokens
buys a Diploma: place it in any Diploma area where you have none. A spare single token is
worth nothing. - Diplomas
— from the purple circle down to the ice-blue one, each player with
a Diploma in that area scores Phlegethon value (1–5) × the level of their Skull on that Sin
Track (1–4): from 1 to 20 points per Diploma. You can have only one Diploma per circle. - Charon’s loans — lose the endgame points beside your Boat on the Loan track (0, −2 or −4).
- Reputation in Florence — see below.
The highest Infamy wins. Ties: most Diplomas; if still tied, the tied players share the victory.

Not used in the solo game.
A Diploma scores nothing by itself and a Sin Track scores nothing without a full circle: a Skull at the top of a track earns just 1 point per level if its circle stays empty. Filling one or two circles well usually beats collecting every Diploma.
Sudden death
If the game ends because someone could not play their Hell phase:
- move Dante stop by stop to the end, awarding each Diploma he passes to the player(s) furthest along that track — nobody scores the 2 points of the final stop;
- for the order of final scoring, treat the player who could not move as the one who took Dante to the end.
