Achievements

Unlockable modules and characters from the Achievements expansion.

Short tag: [Ach]

What it adds

Achievements is an ongoing campaign layer with 12 achievements that can be completed in any order. At the end of a game, record each newly completed achievement, open its indicated box, apply its advanced-achievement sticker, and read the module page identified on that box’s Overview card. New content can be used in later games. Completing the harder version earns a Certificate. You can pursue achievements competitively or cooperate on unlocking them; normal game victory still goes to the top scorer.

The current publisher rules include an immediately unlocked set of rules plus sheets for Boxes A–L and X–Z. Each box sheet is an unlock instruction: open and apply only the material your group has unlocked.

Setup changes

[Ach] Follow the campaign manual’s initial sticker placement and start with its marked box. Keep the lettered boxes closed until an achievement instructs you to open one. Some boxes add optional modules; others add pieces to existing supplies. Only use the unlocked content chosen for that game. For example, the Strategic Initiatives module uses up to two unlocked tiles; Characters require the included Company Goal tile; Travis and Luna have their own setup requirements.

New rules

BoxModuleEffect
A–CStrategic InitiativesWhen completing a Company Goal, you may put its cube on a Strategic Initiative instead of the Progress Track. On your turn, return a cube from an initiative to the current Progress section to use its ability; you may do this multiple times.
DSegment Icon UpgradesOnce per Build Ship Segments action, add an icon to a built Segment by covering its VP. The cost is 3 Money minus the VP covered (to a minimum of 0); each Segment can hold one upgrade and cannot be changed.
EEmployee of the MonthCompany Goals no longer add your cube to the Progress Track. Place it on the leftmost open space of a bonus row and gain the covered bonus and matching bonuses to its right. Neutral cubes make the game longer.
FSegment VP UpgradesOnce per Build Ship Segments action, add a VP token to a built Segment. Its cost is the current Progress section plus 0, 1 or 2 for a 1, 2 or 3 VP token. Completing a row or column grants its listed bonus.
GDevelopment DiscountsPlace discounts on eligible Development spaces. Building there removes the token and reduces the cost after other discounts, but never below 0.
HSystematic SynergyA Technology that grants two extra Funding Bonuses whenever you recall Workers. If an effect makes you forfeit Funding Bonuses, these bonuses are forfeited too.
INew ExpertAfter this Expert completes a launch, immediately advance only that newly launched ship to its first Stop and resolve it.
JPersonal GoalsChoose one of two cards before your first turn. It tracks six personal criteria; complete five for an extra Wing, then complete all three Company Goals to raise it to two extra Wings.
KNew Starting CockpitAll players may replace the standard starting Cockpit with this one. It adds one Segment capacity and scores no VP.
LNew Starting EngineAll players may use this Engine. Its half-Cabin lets a ship with one Segment satisfy the launch requirement; it is not itself a Segment and adds no Oxygen cost.
XDestination TokensSelect three tokens and cover one Upgrade at each Destination. The new token replaces that Upgrade with its own ability.
YCharactersChoose a character and play all characters on the easier A side or advanced B side. Each has its own abilities and restrictions; always use Company Goal tile 7.
ZTravis E. Preston and LunaTravis can be a character or an NPC with changing Annual Objectives. When used as an NPC, the Luna module adds the dog, Treats and once-per-turn tricks.

[Ach] The full token, character and card-specific effects, including exact Travis, Luna and Destination Token instructions, are in the publisher’s current Achievements rules. Follow the sheet for each unlocked item.

Solo changes

[Ach] Solo interactions vary by module. The box sheets give Rachel-specific rules where they apply; examples include how she handles Strategic Initiatives, Personal Goals, a new starting Engine, and Travis. Check the relevant sheet before combining an unlocked module with Rachel.
