Rounds and Turn Order
Brick & Mortar rules and reference.
A month
Play seven phases in order: Building → Advertisement → Supply → Sale → Inventory → Utilities → Investment. Everyone completes a phase before moving on. Store abilities apply only at their printed timing; a modifier normally affects its own Store, with broader effects explicitly identified on the card.
January has a special Building Phase: choose a free Starting Store in turn order and fill it to capacity from the general supply. It replaces normal store purchasing. Unchosen Starting Stores return to the box.
Turn order
The points track controls turn order. Whenever someone passes another player in either direction, update their relative order immediately. Landing on an equal score does not swap them. Final scoring does not change turn order.
Resolve simultaneous point gains in current turn order. If simultaneous decisions depend on one another, the player earlier in turn order decides first. Equal supply or sale price bids resolve in reverse turn order: the player furthest behind acts first.

Choose 2 Market Cards secretly, then reveal your choices together. A card played face up adds its illustrated crates to supply; a card played face down adds its reverse to demand later. You may play two of either kind or one of each. Gather the cards into a Supply pile and a face-down Demand pile; the original owners no longer matter.
Draw back to 5 Market Cards, reshuffling the discard pile if needed. An occupied third building slot allows one exchange of 1 or all Market Cards for replacements during this phase, including after drawing back to five. An occupied fourth slot allows one additional played Market Card.
Inventory
Move every unsold crate down one shelf, simultaneously. Crates falling off the bottom expire and return to the general supply. Resolve any expiration abilities in turn order. You cannot discard a crate early to gain an expiration reward.
Utilities
Pay the sum of every open Store’s printed utility cost plus its occupied building slot’s utility cost. If you cannot afford it, take debt. A Store’s closure effect after Utilities does not cancel the bill you just owed.
Month end
After Investment, check the ending conditions. If neither was triggered, advance the calendar and return the phase marker to Building.
