Learn Yinzi: Ming
Learn the game in 5 short steps. Everything links to the full rules.
Build the starting engine
Use the setup checklist for your player count. Your initial Workshop belongs to you, while its color determines which Peasants can operate it. Your first three revealed Order cards also provide the Overseers you need this round.
Understand the round
The Exchange Rate changes first. Choose a Merchant bonus to set turn order, then take three Command turns and three City turns. Choose a different personal action and City Quarter each time.
Grow and sell Peasants
Deploy Peasants to Fields or Salt Mines, then sell them into a matching vacant Local Market space. Border crossings use Transport Capacity; movement within one Province is free.
Produce and trade Goods
Use matching Peasants from Local Markets to produce in Workshops. Export Goods through Ship slots or complete displayed Silk Road Caravans. A full Ship departs immediately and interrupts the action in progress.
Keep workers and score
During Regulation feed Overseers with Peasants from Rice, Fruit or Maize, check Caravan escorts, validate completed Caravans and pay wages. Misfortune costs 2 WP per tile. After round four, score every final category.
