Tips & Strategy
Plan plantings around the shared field and the orders you can complete.
How to teach it
Demonstrate one planting and one harvest step using the breeding chart. Then show that harvest order runs opposite to the planting and fulfillment order. Explain the market and recipe actions separately: a market reward can be used immediately to buy a recipe.
Your first game
Look at the face-up recipes and market cards before planting. Since every player harvests from the same field, ask which new color pair your pepper creates and whether the next player can reach it first. Coins help you choose turn order, but leftover money also scores, so avoid bids that do not improve your position.
Videos versus the rulebook
The tutorial and runthrough videos below make the shared field and reversed harvest order easy to demonstrate. For exact movement restrictions, card effects and end-game triggers, follow the official 2014 rulebook and the FAQ.
