A palace to balance
Build a prestigious castle across three years. You need both an impressive exterior and a richly decorated interior, because final scoring balances the two. Start with the setup guide and Teach the Game.
Place instructors
Each season, place five instructors across six action areas. Their numbered spaces set the order in which you take materials, use the Market, expand land or begin building work. Learn the season sequence.
Hire and build
Hire craftsmen as new tiers arrive, then commit workers and materials to their contracts. Completed buildings add exterior Prestige; decorations add interior Prestige. See building orders and castle construction.
Grow your estate
Land tiles raise income and extend your connected estate. The Market trades resources, hires workers and patches shortfalls. Watch Events and race for bonus conditions as your palace grows. Read resources and land and Events.
Score at winter's end
Pay the wood levy after each year. In the final Winter, finish building orders and the levy, then balance the two Prestige tracks and convert leftover resources. The full sequence is on Game End and Scoring.
