Solo
Paragliders solo: the Solo Race mode to practise the normal game, and the harder Cross mode with Solo GPS Markers and Skill Move cards.
The rulebook offers two solo modes. Learn the normal rules first.

Solo Race mode
Practice for the multiplayer game: play the normal rules alone, with two stunt changes (setup).
- The Explorer: reaching the edge of the map scores 6
. - The Overflyer: at setup, spawn the 5 Solo GPS Markers that show altitudes the way you spawn clouds (draw a cloud token, use that numbered hexagon); the blank one stays in the box. A Solo GPS Marker you fly over counts as a rival pilot at its middle altitude.
Cross mode
A harder challenge: a cross-country flight through markers you place yourself.
Setup change
- Leave the Stunt Markers, Antenna tokens and GPS markers in the box; take the 6 Solo GPS Markers.
- After the normal setup, study the map and the forecast. Choose 3 to 6 Solo GPS Markers (4 is normal, 6 very hard), pick a side for each and place each on any of the 4 GPS spots and/or the 3 antenna spots of the map. The rest go back in the box.
- Take the 6 Skill Move cards: you may use them during the game.
Game rule change
- Win by collecting every Solo GPS Marker you placed, then landing on the target or a hexagon next to it.
- Lose if you land anywhere else, are still flying at the end of the day, or miss a marker.
- To collect a marker your altitude must be one of the three printed on it — adjust your altitude first (acceleration penalty included). The blank marker can be taken at any altitude.
Scoring
To rate your flight, use your Score Marker:
- each marker collected at its middle altitude: 3
; at another of its altitudes: 2; the blank marker: 2; - at the end, 1
per unused Skill Move card; - at the end, the
under the time marker on the Weather Board.
