The shared goal
Paleo is a cooperative survival game. Complete the stone tableau before the group collects five 
skulls. During the day, players choose cards and solve challenges; at night, feed the group and resolve the selected level’s missions.
Prepare the level
Set out the three shared boards, workbench, resources, cemetery, and tool tokens. Choose a level from the supplement; it tells you which modules and 
secret cards to use. Each player has a separate deck and group of people.
Choose and reveal
During the day, each player secretly chooses a card from the backs of the top three cards in their deck, then everyone reveals together. Discuss which challenges to tackle and who can help before paying requirements and costs.
Resolve challenges
Use people, tools, and shared camp resources to meet a card’s requirements. Apply wounds and discards exactly as shown. You may discard the rest of your deck to sleep early, but then cannot resolve cards or help for the rest of the day.
Survive the night
At night, feed every person still in the tribe, then resolve every mission in play. The group wins by completing the tableau and loses at five skulls; follow the level instructions when carrying pieces into another level.
